My Mom was my encouragement, my love of Jesus supporter as I started down this road. It isn't any easy road. Quite frankly, the church of Christ needs to understand this illness. They need to know that it is no different than cancer, diabetes, or heart trouble. No amount of positive thinking will get you out of this kind of darkness. That it's not a lack of spirituality. It's an illness of the brain. Just like diabetes is an illness of the metabolism. But Ann Voskamp does much better at explaining all this.
