Sweet Little Bo {sneak peek}

Editing these images took longer than I expected so here is a sneak peek for his Mommy. I had so much fun spending time with this sweet little man. There is {nothing} like a new little baby.

It is time for a GIVEAWAY!

I am hosting a 'raffle' to raise funds for Don & Twila Wingerd.  (if you want to hear their story click here.) The prize is the 'Sweeter' Portrait shoot. In order to enter you must pay $20, you can enter as many times as you want but you must pay for EACH entry. The way it will work is--in order to be entered, you send me an email (click on this link for email address), I will email you an invoice, you pay within 24 hours, you are officially entered. At least that's how it's supposed to work. This is my first time doing this so. . . I am expecting it to be a bit of a trial and error experience. So please bear with me.

This is obviously for people in the Delta/Montrose (or surrounding region). In other words, please don't expect me to 'travel' far to do this shoot because I can't fulfill that expectation. The prize must also be 'used' before November 30, 2013. So without further ado--ENTER TO WIN!!

Amazima--Grand Total

I am so grateful to the people who chose to give to Amazima. Yes, I wanted more people to support Amazima but I am SO grateful to the few who chose to give. Because of these 3 families, we were able to raise $570! Which is enough to feed the 1200 Masese Children lunch for 2 days, and 941 Masese Children lunch for 3 days. Now if you are confused---too bad. hehee. Just kidding. It takes $205 to feed 1200 children lunch in the slum community of  Masese. So we have $205 + $205 = $410, that equals 2 days of feeding 1200 children. So that leaves us with  $160 left over for one more day. $160 divided by $0.17 (the cost to feed 1 child), equals 941 children that get to eat on day 3. I hope that makes sense. :) If not I apologize.

thank you, Dale & Mariann (and family) -

p.s. In February, a new person will be sponsored, and some new things will be happening, so PLEASE stay tuned!! :)

Colin and Jolynn {maternity session}

I haven't posted any of my 'official' work in quite some time. Was kind of saving them 'till after the holidays because some of them were Christmas pictures. These were not Christmas pictures, they actually got lost in the muddle. Which is unfortunate because they were some of my favorite pictures I have taken up to this point. I love taking pictures that are relaxed and personal. That's how these feel to me. Jolynn contacted me to do a maternity shoot, something I had never done before, and I must say I was really nervous about it. The images I chose to post aren't exactly maternity oriented but to me they are great fun. :) Sienna was at the age where sitting still for pictures is not exactly her cup of tea. Which makes photo shoots so much fun cause you have to work for the treasures. I like how unposed this session turned out. Hope to get to do more of these in the future. So without further ado--- Colin & Jolynn {Maternity Session}

this is probably my favorite image of the entire shoot. :)
